Welcome to Hunger Free North Carolina, where our mission is to ensure that every North Carolinian has access to healthy, nutritional food, wherever they are!

North Carolina currently has more than 1.5 million residents actively experiencing food insecurity. Hunger Free NC strives to build infrastructure for distribution of food to the needy, specifically by combating the issue of food desserts. We aim to bring food to underserved communities that need it most, with volunteer drivers delivering groceries directly to the recipient family's homes. 

 

Launched in January of 2024, we are only just beginning our many phases of growth, with the top priority of establishing partnerships with North Carolina businesses to secure a steady supply of safe, high quality foods. In addition, we are actively recruiting local drivers who are willing and able to work in teams delivering food directly to families in need. By leveraging our network and resources, we hope to reach every corner of North Carolina, providing healthy, nutritious food to those in need.

 

Hunger Free North Carolina also strives to redirect surplus foods, promoting sustainable practices, and reducing waste.
